Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi in October 2014, the 'Abhiyan' was launched on Mahatma Gandhi's 145th birth anniversary When each one of us pledged to make India clean. The awareness and enthusiasm created by the mission was commendable, by inviting people to participate in the drive, the Swachhta Abhiyan has turned into a National Movement. A sense of responsibility has been evoked among the people through the Clean India Movement. With citizens now becoming active participants in cleanliness activities across the nation, the dream of a ‘Clean India’ once seen by Mahatma Gandhi has begun to get a shape, where we could see a change in each one of us. The pledge “I pledge to segregate my (household, shop, establishment) waste in two dustbins, wet waste in Green and dry waste in Blue, as my contribution to the Swachh Bharat Mission” showed a change in the waste quantity and quality, TOWMCL has experienced this change by getting a better quality of waste , as our planted is designed to handle the Blue Bin waste but still used to get a mix of organics and inorganics but as a result of the awareness created through the program we experienced change in the quality of the waste which made our process more efficient .
